At Animal Magic, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our web site and our customers. In this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information when you register an account, book a service, or contact us. This may include:

Details about your pets (name, breed, medical history, vet details).

Technical data such as IP address and browser type when you visit our site.

Our website uses cookies to improve your experience. We use Google Analytics to help us understand how our site is used. This service uses cookies to collect anonymous data about browsing behavior.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies via our cookie consent tool. Essential cookies required for the website to function (like your login session) cannot be disabled.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to providing our boarding and grooming services. specifically:

To manage your bookings and provide care for your pets.
To contact you in case of emergencies regarding your pet.
To send booking confirmations and reminders.
To improve our website and services.

4. Data Security

We take data security seriously. Your personal information is stored on secure servers with restricted access. We do not sell, rent, or trade email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes.

5. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your booking and payment records for seven years after a stay ends, because HM Revenue and Customs requires us to keep business records for that long. After that we remove your name and contact details from them, keeping only the dates, the service and the amounts, so that nobody can be identified from them.

Daily care records and any vaccination document you upload are kept for three years after the stay. That is the minimum our animal boarding licence requires. We then delete them, keeping the vaccination date itself on your pet's record.

If you have not booked with us for seven years, we remove the personal details from your account and your pets' records. An online booking form that was never completed is deleted within a month.

6. Access to Your Personal Information

You are entitled to see, correct or ask us to erase the personal information we hold about you. You can see and correct much of it by logging into your account, and for anything else please email animalmagichydrotherapy@live.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

If you ask us to erase your information, we will remove everything we are not required to keep. Where your pet has stayed with us in the last three years, our boarding licence requires us to keep the record of that stay, and we will delete it once those three years are up. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may review and update this policy from time to time. This policy was last updated in September 2026.
